BEEER BLAST!!
Oh god, I'm looking forward to Saturday night way too much. My friends, who have been scattered across the province, are coming together for... well, what was originally a 'dress up nice, decorating get-together' (there are a fair number of females in that circle of friends), but is slowly degenerating in my mind to a loud, rude, alcohol-fueled night of mayhem. Something like 4 of the girls are bringing their boyfriends... 2 of them I haven't met before... and they all kind of seem like weenies.
So, my mission, as always, is to make them not know how to take me until they break down crying. Awesome.
I do very much hope they try to keep that 'dress up nice' theme. Because then, when I stroll in with my case of beer and my most slovenly and comfortable attire I can muster, there's just that more chance of making the weenies uncomfortable.
I know my friend Heather is with me, and she's fucking nuts, so this should be good. I've been looking forward to blowing off steam like this for a long time now.
I'm such an ass.
Only have shopping for my mom left. If I can't think of anything else, she's getting some kind of intricate candle holder thingy and new windshield wipers. Meh.
Which reminds me... Christmas can eat my ASS.
I'm NOT looking forward to family gatherings. And don't know what to do about my deceased father's side of the family. I really, really don't want to go see them.
So I probably won't.
But still. Ehck.
Upcoming:
- Tomorrow: More shopping.
- Seeing what's sure to be a shitty version of Cinderella Friday night. I'm writing it off as a research expense for my company.
- Saturday night: BOOZE!!
- Sunday afternoon: (get this) I'm stuck going to the girlfriend's uncle's surprise birthday party. What the fuck?! Why would her uncle want his nieces and nephews there, much less ME?! Lame.
- Sunday night: more planning of interviews for potential new board members.
- Monday afternoon/eve: interviewing those potentials.
- Tuesday afternoon/eve: same.
I am a busy bee.
I like it.
Today when I mentioned how much I liked No Use For A Name's song 'Christmas Day' which was playing in the car (does anyone know if this is a RENT song?), partially because it guest starred Cinder Block from Tilt, who I think has a SPECTACULAR and powerful voice, the girlfriend got jealous of her.
Yeah...
...I am Jack's utter lack of surprise.
