highlights of the week just past
being reminded how important children are to me
Tuesday afternoon bike ride and quick dip then steak with mate and his brother
Wednesday evening trip into the underworld of Brisbane (thanks to members of the local caveclan who let me join them into the storm drain mazes under Brisbane .. i am looking forward to seeing more of the maze)
Thursday night was opening night of the New season for moonlight cinema with The Darjeeling Limited the new offering from Wes Anderson being the feature , starring Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman as a trio of brothers on a spiritual quest in India .
While Anderson's other films have been a love /hate affair for me ( i loathed life aquatic ) this movie was a wonderful escape and made me realize what a brilliant actor Brody is ( i blame King Kong for putting me off him).
Like his earlier movies this one is also rich with the usual eccentric characters but on some level this movie works so well with them that its is almost like the natural way of dysfunctional brothers a number of times i found my self grinning stupidly or commenting to goldfishwho was nice enough to join me for the movie
friday was aquiet one feet up on the coffee table with my house mate Lelaina eating indian and watching balls of fury..ah yeah no its not porn! trust me lol

Fours years of hopeing we were right, here we come
And that movie was great, I've been thinking about it more and more since we saw it, and some enjoyable parts are sorta resonating more in my afterhoughts. I think I'd really like to travel to India. Or take a long train ride somewhere, and make stops along the way
