can you hear the sound of the cherry popping?
anyways...i've been around a while, lurking like a naughty little dina, for quite some time and figured i should get in on this flashy backstage pass "membership" thing.
i have been posting on the bust.com boards for a few years now, and there is always a raging (and not always respectful) debate on sex, porn, exploitation and femininity.
one of the biggest and fiercest debates ever was when the SG banner was scrolling at the top of the boards. there tends to be this schism of sisterhood sometimes inherent in the feminist communities: the faulty thinking excuse.
"oh, you silly little thing, you couldn't possibly like porn of your own accord, you just *think* that you do because you are a mindless tool of the patriarchy. some day when you are older and wiser you will look back on your foolish notions that porn can be feminist and you will thank me for showing you the One True Feminist Way".
anyone who thinks she/he knows the One True Feminist Way can bite me.
sometimes i get a little tired with the theory-thumpers and the hard-liners.
