So, my set officially goes live tonight! Around 9:30pm I believe (central time). I could not be more excited. This set represents a very long journey that I have been on since I was young.
The first time I considered applying to SG, I was probably about 19 years old. I was not confident in myself or my body. I've been very petite my whole life. I'm genetically skinny and unable to gain weight. My metabolism runs very fast and has always been that way. I always wanted to be one of the beautiful curvy women and it took me a long time to love my body the way it is.
Getting my tattoos has definitely helped. With each new tattoo I get, I love my body even more. Learning to love my individuality and supporting the idea that all shapes and sizes of women are beautiful is what finally gave me the courage to apply.
Shooting my first set was amazing. I had been a model my whole life and done plenty of nude shoots, but there was something very different about this one. Representing such an amazing site and label is beyond a dream. I hope you are all as excited as I am about my set release.
To celebrate, I am posting a few fun facts about the shoot for your amusement.
1. We shot this in January early in the morning. It was cold and rainy but we had to make it look spring themed regardless. As hard as my nipples usually are, they were even harder that day lol
2. The set was shot in the backyard of my childhood home aka my parents house. The swing set in the photos is the same one I played on as a child.
3. If you look closely in 2 of the photos, you may notice my dogs running around in the background. They didn't want to stay out of the photos and we decided to keep them in to add to the realism of the photos :) their names are Kenya and pandora.
4. The shorts I'm wearing (before I get naked) I have had since I was 14 years old. Yes they still fit.
5. I felt very confident during this shoot. You will be able to tell by how much I am smiling in the photos. I really did feel great and was having a lot of fun despite the cold.
Well there you go. I can't wait to share this milestone with all of you. You have all been so wonderful and supportive to me. I can't wait to share my journey with you all.
Much love!
