We have an epidemic in America today

We have thousands of American families becoming displaced from are community ranks every year and added to the homeless ranks. We have government agencies vigorously attacking families and removing their children from parents with little hope of them ever returning home.

Yes it is all so true that in the group of families that find there lives turned up side down. They have many reasons for this. For some, it's the living from pay cheek to pay check with no way of living to better of themselves. Others find it because of low income and drug and or alcohol and in many of the cases physical family abuse are to blame.

This picture I have painted for you is true and has been in place in every culture from the beginning of time. Some would have you think it is a normal part of a large society to have this sort of thing happen.

I say on to you that in our times we must get beyond this. I have been thinking on this problem for a very long time. We can have a greater Country if we take the necessary steps to eliminate homelessness all together.

I know you maybe saying but wait we have agencies, family groups and churches that are all ready taking care of this right now.

We do not have to look far in to each and ever one of the groups to see how they truly are not working and how they perpetuate the problem and recycle the people in and back in to their services. (This will be broken down point by point)

That is just the civilian side of things we have not even begun with the thousands of military veterans that get discharged from service every year that can't get any services for one reason or another.

In my view of this Epidemic the United States can no longer tolerate such a throw away population. So how can we change and save are people from this horror? We start by building centers that will truly evaluate the individual needs. Take care of getting them healthy and rehabbed.

Provide additional education with quality job skills, life skills and build on the individual skills that they may have. Get corporate America to build small training facilities on site to help with the work rehab.

In return Corporations will get a quality product in return. The Centers will have every thing on site that one would need.
This would all be done by keeping the family unit intact (a family that rehabs together will continue to live together).
As you can see just by this short list this will be a great undertaking and yes with a great price tag as well. But just look at all the billions we just toss to the wind every year never to see again. I do think that this kind of Center could become self financing some time after completion and start up.

Further more the Centers will be able to rehab one hundred or more every year. With some monitoring after care I believe we would have less then a one percent relapse factor with another one percent that truly need on going medical care for life pass it on to every one if you like

in both of our countries, governments seem to have the same problems: the rich ones are getting richer and the poor ones poorer... puke
