Oooooooooh, i'm a very tired little Daisy. I got home from my holiday last night, and i am exhausted. And like a good little girl, i took photos for you lot.
Firstly we went to Rome. Bloody hell, there's a lot of walking to do there.
On our first full day there we did all the sights in the historic part of the city:

and the Colosseum:

and the Forum:

I have to say though that the Collosseum wasn't as impressive as i thought it was going to be. But it was still something to be seen.
Second day, we did an almighty trek through the streets of Rome. First off we went to see the Trevi Fountain:

and the Pantheon, and we took some nice photos, but some where along the lines, i've lost them. Ooooopps.
and we finally went to the vatican:

I cant give you anymore photos of the Vatican, because after queueing for ages, they wouldn't let me in. Because i was wearing a tank top. And apparently a girl bearing her shoulders in the sweltering August heat is a bad thing. They seem to think that in heat close to 30 degrees, people should still cover up, cuz that's practical. I'm not bitter, i swear.
So then we packed our things up, and headed down to Naples (which can i just point out is the dirtiest, grimiest, dodgiest place i have ever been). We got our connecting train to Sorrento (which was a damn site better than Naples)
Sorrento is a beautiful place, on the coast.

That's me looking at the beautiful coast:

Our second day in Sorrento i had a bit of a stomach wobble, and felt quite ill. But i didn't take any pictures of that, i figured i'd spare you that. For now.....
Day after, we went to Pompei:

That's one of the streets and you can see Mount Vesuvius in the background.

That's one of the people that was in Pompei when Vesuvius erupted, and preserved. There's not many left, and the place has been completly cleaned, so it's hard to imagine what is was like. And it's bloody huge, and again, in that heat, it's hard to see the whole thing, but we made some friends along the way.

We spent the bulk of our trip in Sorrento lazing around, being amazed that we didn't kill each other. Well, we did, but we made up again. And we had a lovely view from our hotel, which i think helped, cuz we couldn't stay mad at each other somewhere so amazing.

We spent most of our time like this:

But now it's back to rainy Ireland. Rainy cold Ireland. Oh well, more wellie weather.
