things are ok. finals is done. YAY! my semester was pretty rough. a lot of shit went down. 3 family members died. i feel like i've lost any chance to be in science. piece by painful piece i had to sell all of my music equipment to pay rent. i didn't get a job i was told i would get and waited 5 months for. not working full time resulted in the above financial strife. sucked. things should be better, have some interesting job possibilities on the horizon, and if not, i have 40+ hours working my more non-exciting and lower-paying jobs... but they're comfortable, relatively easy and a good time. rare thing for any job.
i've started totally drooling over various synthesizers, doing a lot of playing with various software emulators. i'm totally wet over the Yamaha CS-80 and Arturia's CS-80V emulator. it's utterly wonderful. I'm going to have to buy a panel of knobs to hook up to my computer (yes, they exixt!) to control all the settings that make such auralgasmic sounds. mmm.
i am happy to be done with finals. i will be working a lot during the break, full time and all. but that's ok. because there is no homework! fine by me. I like school and love biology and ecology and math and science- but it can be rough trying to work and school at the same time. people always think college kids got it easy, but not me- last year i worked full time, 40-50 hrs/week, and went to school full time, 16 credits. it was hell. but i did it. if i just worked it'd be heaven, i'd have so much free time.
i need insurance. i need new glasses. uff!
take care kids!
