Despite the number of entries I've destroyed in this fashion (3 in the last couple of weeks) I've decided to type directly into this box...if this succeeds at getting posted, you will know that I did not accidentally click any other button on this here SG page...
It is quarter to four in the AM here in Snowy Minneapolis...and I keep glancing over at my cell phone plugged into the wall...There is no reason to expect another call or text this evening...but I look all the same. I can't help myself...
I am finally starting to feel tired again...Which is good cause I should sleep momentarily.
"What a beautiful disaster."
This first picture was at about 11 am...we hadn't even gotten the majority of what was coming yet...needed to un-bury my car...picture doesn't do it justice..the snow was almost up to my knee when I walked out in some parts and the front end of my car was complete submerged...
So...I went to work. I decided to park in the lot on 6th by the coffeeshop I work at...but first I had to almost die on the freeway...I don't have a picture for it, but I can assure you, I couldn't see more than a couple hundred feet ahead of me if that...and you would never know this was a major highway...it looked like sled dogs used this route...My co-worker called in...so it was just me...though my boss told me to close early...at 4...finished up closing by 5 and went outside to get in my car and this was the street I came out to...Once again...camera-phone does not do it justice but
The street we're lookin at is 6th and though you can't tell there is a parking lot to the right...and my car is in it...
It took me 2.5 hours to get my car off of 6th street...and then I didn't even get it home...got it halfway up my hill and that was it...4.5 hours outside in negative windchill temperatures...not dressed for the occasion at all..
Eventually I got my car into a "snow oasis ramp" and walked up my hill...today I am sore from shoveling and pushing cars...guh...oh and then I got up in the AM and got a ride to work...yay opening when none of the streets work...
I'm told 21 inches of snow as of Sunday morning...suffice it to say....Holyshit
Well...In my sleep deprived state this has turned into a very long but formulaic entry about the storm...which is not the primary thing on my mind at the moment...I assure you.
I'll leave you with this...till a time when I have better slept.
"Te echo de menos"

PS: fuck...I'm gonna have to add the pictures later, turns out its difficult and I'm just too tired to spend the time to figure out what I'm doing wrong

Also, you'd think that a state notorious for it's proclivity for blizzards would put something more sturdy than AN INFLATABLE ROOF to clothe their sports stadium.
