Went with the ancient programmer to see these Mayan books in the archives. Strange. All sacrifice, interesting color schemes. Priestly cast. Spanish Colonial and Indian Writing together on the page. Franciscan monks. The ancient programmer was all excited at the reproductions as was I. Produced by this wierd company out of Austria that does facsimiles' down to the ripped and torn pages. Very nice.

Before my sister called, I had been looking for a version of "Because the Night" by Patti Smith but seemingly fittingly could not find it. My sister called needing reassurance. She is a very strong person but was nervous about going out tonight with a couple old friends who she hasn't seen in a long time (she's still in NYC). She said that she's gained weight and her friends are getting married. My reply - "don't worry about the weight or what the girls think, guys love it when girls have a little more weight on them - they do!

I have been trying to get into yoga for so long. But what I am really interested in is Transcendental Meditation. I love the fact there are no books, cds or videos to teach you. You must be instructed in person. It seems like a fine avenue for our spirits.
