I'm a nerd, and I worked at Best Buy for a year or so in computers, so here's some input on the wireless net stuff.

I tried a Motorola and a Linksys wireless setup a while back. They didn't work for me. Usually has to do with RF waves in the area. If you live in an apartment, it's usually a combination of everyone around you. Being that most electronic crap puts off RF waves, it really isn't your fault.

Anyways, my best suggestion is to move the box closer, if at all possible.
