Well not much is going on in my world right now. Just work. I've got Bob/Willie/John to set up soon and then right into forecastle afterwards. After that shows are kinda dry for a while. A couple of things in French Lick might pop up but not a whole lot. In August I leave for tour though so that should be nice. I'll be out...

I mixed monitors for the Meat Puppets last night. They were extremely cool and a pleasure to work with. I can know honestly say that I've mixed for someone who has played with Nirvana. This is quite a big deal to me as I was once A HUGE Nirvana fan.

After the show Chris and Curt both came over and thanked me for doing a...

So I know I've been missing for a while and there is indeed a story behind that. On April the first I was let go by the company that gives me my more corporate shows. They said it would be temporary and that I should go use my old freelance connections for the month. I did exactly that and ended up booking several shows for...

Tonight at Uncle P's
Skeleton Witch!!!!!

This is one of very few metal bands that I actually like. Everybody and their brother is in a fucking metal band these days and quite frankly I'm pretty much sick of hearing metal all the time but Skeleton Witch is the real deal. If you've never heard them before then you need to check them out.

I'll be...

Hello all

Well I lucked out a little bit and my company sent me to Detroit for a few days to do a conference. It was full of the scummiest people imaginable, pharmaceutical sales reps. These are the folks who go to doctors offices and attempt to get them to prescribe particular medicines. The one bright spot was when the guy who was to teach...

What I liked about the movie is how real it was. Life is hard enough when you grow up here in the 'states where things are (relatively) sane. But growing up in the slums of Mumbai? Having your mother killed by a Hindu mob (which really happens there)? Living in a dump? Being kidnaped by beggar kings?

Andrea and I went to India a couple of years ago, and watching Slumdog Millionaire felt like being back there. I don't know how someone who hasn't been to India would see it - it might seem fake, or extreme, or exaggerated, but it's none of these. If anything, it makes India look much less harsh than it really is. So I can't blame you for not liking the movie, but I absolutely loved it. India really messes with your head.

thank you. I love everything about that FIlm. Effects to phylosophical/ Quantum mechanical truths smile

Well winter has returned in full force. I currently have no electricity and therefore no heat at my apartment. The electric company says it could be as long as 7 to 10 days before they restore power to everyone. A small branch fell on my car and cracked the windshield but other wise I've escaped with little to no harm.

Yesterday morning I watched a...

Really makes you think, doesn't it. I'm glad she's okay.

Hope is what you need to get through it. The one constant in life is change - when things are going well this is kind of disturbing, but when you're having a rough time it's something to keep in mind. It doesn't feel like it just now, but summer is coming.

I don't mean to make light of the situation, which sounds anything but light, but it sounds like you're living in the background to a southern vampire romance at the moment. Maybe it's time to start writing!

Anyway, good luck - I hope your power comes back way sooner than predicted.

We're suffering too. No power, and no heat, since Tuesday night. This is my first time able to get on line since monday. I'm definitely feeling the same as you on the struggle front...I was hoping 2009 would be better than 2008, but so far shapong up to be one of the most difficult years of my life. Good luck in Louisville....send your happy thoughts Shelbyville way.

Hello all

Just a few quick thoughts for you. It's begun to warm a little here finally and as the weather improves so does my mood. The fine weather has inspired me to try and make peace with the ex but she can't seem to find it in her heart to forgive and forget. It's all a little funny to me as I have no...

I wish I had some useful advice. My ex boyfriend was a crazy bastard who threatened to burn down my house and hurt my family, so I had absolutely no desire to have a concluding conversation with him. Heh.
Best of luck, though.

What's already happened is done, and you can't change it. So if there is something you would have done differently, or think you didn't do well, remember that, and carry it forward, but remember it as a lesson, not as guilt. And when she's ready to hear from you, then talk, but do not try to force it so you can get closure - that's selfish, and it doesn't work anyway. Forgive yourself, and forgive her. Be available if she needs to talk about it. Otherwise just move on. You can't fix anybody but yourself.

Well it's January and things are very slow for me right now. If it wasn't so cold I'd peddle my ass on the street.

Alas though not everyone likes a lady with a beard!

Warm wishes to all suffering through this intolerable chill!

It's SGKY. Go to the groups and plug it in search. However, over the 200 ky members, only 8 belong to the group, much less all the people in So. In and Oh, etc. I am trying to see if we could start a new one that would be more active and inclusive. Current one is a private clique of personal friends of the group owner.

Oy. I'm sorry you had to go through that. A friend of mine in high school lost his roommate that way, and it really messed him up.

I mixed a show for my friends in Anikythera and I may be their new sound guy for good now. It's honestly not my favorite music in the world but the guys in the band are really nice and down to earth so it's fun to work with them. If you get a chance to check them out please do.

I also drove to Hartford...
