It's my day off tomorrow smile
I should really try to make an effort and do something, like take my newish camera out, and use it.
My day off in the week has become like another Sunday, usually spent chillin' and not getting much done, time for a change me thinks.

The Descent is on at the cinema so I'd better go and watch it, I...

I really need to stop eating carb's so much, I've got a pretty high metabolism but I have a feeling my body is going to crash and burn soon. Ah well, mmmmmmmm toast...

I'm not very impressed with the new Odeon cinema, I mean, I haven't actually been in there but I'm loyal to the little theatre cos it's just so crappy, I mean, uhhh... It's got a lot of character. wink
someoneuk:
It's better if they're not coasters though. smile

Now that was a really pleasant weekend smile

Apart from the bit where the home made cider my friend had made kicked in.
The party in his field on Saturday night was very chilled, a few of us went after the pub chucked out.
It was lovely to be outside sat around a fire in the great outdoors. After a couple of cups of the home...

for anesthesia, DEFNITIELY.

especially with big, blocky cubes of ice. not the orange slice shaped p.o.s. wedges that come out of our damn freezer.

I reckon it's since they've been told they'll go places. I mean, I really like it when a band is playing Moles like it's a stadium and are self-assured but they...I don't know, I think they've just kind of got a bit too up their own asses.

Rode Bird Gardens was great! I used to go there every summer for as long as I can remember. I always wanted to steal a flamingo... And Norwood Farm and Rainbow Wood Farm and Priston Mill and Avon Valley Country Park and the death slide there that would skin your arms, owww...

It's the weekend again and it's still summer smile

A friend is having a birthday bash in a field just out of town, it should be very pleasant, providing the transport problem is not a problem.
I shouldn't stay too late, meaning it would be good to get home before it's light biggrin
Ashton Court Festival is on over in Bristol today and tomorrow, it's an excellent...

I hope you had a great weekend buddy and you enjoyed your friends birthday bash. I hope there was plenty of beer especially seeing as the sun was out!

Beer and the sun go together well smile

Take it easy my friend!

glad to hear you and yours are all ok. interesting site, too - thanks for that. very ambiguous politic, but very empowering somehow in a positive way i think - i'm sure what i think actually... have you seen this one: it went up immediately following bush's 2nd "election"

It's my day off tomorrow, so I think I'm going to watch ' War of the Worlds' and then go and get slightly drunk afterwards biggrin
I'm not a fan of Cruise, but the rest of the film looks OK and must really be seen on the big screen.
Besides, they have air conditioning so it'll be a lot more comfortable than being here.smile

Anyone who...

also, did you see War of the Worlds, as planned? if so, what did you think?
nish1:
Sixty miles away ! 5:30am !
Where there's a will there's a way biggrin

I've heard the new war of the worlds is ok with quite a bit of death in it unlike most spielberg films.

Don't let the sore throat take you down !

Thanks for turning me onto Goldfrapp smile

It's summer again! smile
And it's the weekend too smile

I'm off out tonight to watch a local band called The Natural Selection. They've been around for quite a few years, but they haven't played in a while, so it'll be interesting to see wassup with them.
They are kind of funky with rap, a bit like the Stereo MC's. Rap isn't really my thing, but if...

Well it's Wednesday and the week has been fine so far shocked
Maybe having Tuesday off has eased the pain of returning to work after the festival.

I went out for a quiet couple of beers on Monday night and bumped into some friends who were there.
We were up till gone three drinking, it was quite a night, especially for a Monday! biggrin
nish1:
Drinking with friends and days off work make life worth living smile
karma:

I survived Glastonbury 2005!

It was an excellent festival, despite the somewhat extreme conditions! biggrin
I didn't see that many bands on the main stages, there is so much more to do, and you can't do it all.
Brian Wilson was perfect Sunday afternoon music, good vibrations everywhere smile followed by Garbage, who rocked biggrin
I won't go through everything that I saw or did, it would go...

I'm glad you survived Glastonbury. It looked a bit damp there on the Friday .. well, not so much damp as flooded! The bands looked good, I like your pic of Shirley Manson ... she's very nice isn't she wink

Thanks for all the good comments recently, sorry I've been lax in commenting on your journal, things have been a bit manic, fingers crossed the problem is being worked on and it'll all turn out ok.

I hope your weekend was a good one! smile

Batman Begins was my film of choice this week, not that I go every week.
It was really good, nice and dark and moody, just the way it should be.

I'm off to Glastonbury festival tomorrow, for a week biggrin
It looks like it's going to an excellent one, even the weather is looking good shocked, so far.

Have a good week, I'll catch up with...

Walcot Nation Day was rather good, it didn't rain either biggrin
Well, just a little bit of drizzle for two minutes or so.
The music was so loud in places, I'd be surprised if there wasn't some minor structural damage!
Monday morning wasn't too bad, I didn't get too plastered and it ended at seven pm anyway.
Next year I must remember to take the Monday...

Hope this weekend is treating you well smile

Enjoy the festival! smile

Hmmm... film seems less attractive to see now... confused

Sin City was excellent, very stylish and pretty brutal too.
I went yesterday evening, to a small independent cinema rather than the Odeon multiplex.
Sometimes I'd rather give the little guy my business, even if the screen is smaller and the sound not so good, but that kind of matched the feel of the film.

They showed a trailer for "What the bleep do we...

It sounds like you're gonna have a good weekend there my friend. I hope the bike parts arrive soon and that bike will be back in business soon. I know what you mean about work on Monday ... ewww.

Enjoy the last weekend of the Fringe Festival, don't get too drunk wink

I really want to see "what the bleep do we know".

The cactus on head picture on that Walcot site is very scary! confused

Garbage were so so so good!
