Tonight I'm going to see The Manic Street Preachers, supported by The Delays.
I'm not a massive Manics fan but a mate from work got two tickets and asked if I'd like to go, so I said yes, why not. I think they'll be good live.
The Delays are reputed to be very good too, I've been told they might even be the better band.
The Glastonbury line up was released today, it looks good to me.
Going on about it again aren't I, sorry.
I'll try my best to check out some of the bands/artists that I've missed out on, but have become aware of through this site.
People here do seem to have very good musical taste.
Last year I bought a nice digital camera, you know, the sort of thing that you think will be fine for many years to come. It's a Konica Minolta Dimage Z2, fine for my requirements, or so I thought.
It has recently been upgraded (to the Z3 or Z4) with image stabilisation technology, which means you can actually use the telephoto end of the lens much more easily. Actually, Panasonic have brought out a slightly better camera for a few quid more (Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ5) with stabilisation too. Very handy for gigs and festival stuff. I've just got to have image stabilisation!
Oh well, I expect I could sell the old camera for a good price on e-bay, as it is still being sold in the shops. It's the same price as the new Z3 model in some places, strange.
Have a pleasant week
PS
The Delays were good, very good at times. They had some very good music to play. A bit more modern/retro than the Manics.
The Manics were good live, they have done some very good tracks in their time. Some of the set was a bit dull (to me), but at one hour forty five minutes it had to have a few flat spots.
So, it was a fairly good evenings entertainment, I'm glad I went.
Now, shall I go and buy the new Garbage CD?
