Yesterday, I had to take possession of some of my brothers belongings. He is on a round the world holiday, which looks like it might well extend to a few years, lucky sod. He's got someone to sponsor/employ him for a couple of years in Australia.
A friend was looking after his stuff, but now needs the space for a baby that is arriving in May.
My loft space is now stuffed enough, and my arms feel rather rubbery from all the lifting.
At least I got the chance to rip a few of his CD's on to the PC/iPod
Come to think of it , I should record some of my old cassette tapes on to the PC and see what I can do with them. I have the necessary software to make the recordings sound decent.
The Georgia Satellites, The Hooters, The B-52's, early REM (back when they were OK), Guns 'n' Roses, etc etc.
It would be very time consuming, but there is some good stuff there, I think.
It's been a long time since I listened to any of it.
I was thinking of going to see 'The Ring 2' at the cinema, but the lack lustre reviews have eroded my enthusiasm. Perhaps 'Hostage' would be a better option, Bruce Willis back on form, possibly.
Tim Burton's 'Corpse Bride' and 'Sin City' are two films I'm eagerly waiting to see.
The trailer for 'Night Watch (NOCHNOI DAZAR)' on the apple quicktime site, looks promising. It's an epic horror trilogy, apparently.

Yep, I always do the softly brushing thing. You wouldn't find me damaging tomatoes with my brush.
I'm jealous of your brother too!
My arms kill too from carrying a tonne of shopping home!
Ooo have fun with your scary films!
