So... I have tried a few dating websites and even the ones claiming to be free are only free to join but, should you wish to interact w/ potential love interests/"matches" you need to pay and even then they have tiers ranging from Free (poor as fuck), basic (not really committed) and Premium (I have a massive salary and could probably buy a yacht) which sends a very negative message to anyone who is looking for an actual meaningful connection.
Another issue is that, people say that they want honesty and up front information about who you are yet, in providing said information, we rarely get any interest at all and when we do, we rarely get a response to messages.
These things are exceedingly frustrating to a person such as myself who is socially awkward and has difficulty getting out by myself due, in most part, to a physical disability.
I would love to set up an actual free dating site, inclusive to all, called NO BULLSHIT DATING! w/ a policy whereby if it is proven that you are/have lied on your account, you are given 1 warning and subsequently banned. I don't have time for mind games!
What's worse is people who encourage me to lie or conceal certain information, such as the fact that I am disabled, in order to succeed at getting responses! in my honest opinion, that approach is detrimental to both myself and potential matches because not everyone can handle dating people with a disability which, people get raked over the coals for "it shouldn't matter!" well, it shouldn't but, ignoring a person's right to choose is just as bad as discrimination itself.
