Mexico City or Guadalajara? I'm considering a 5 or 6 day trip at the end of March/early April- which one is best?

I'm in Seattle and the entire purpose of my trip was cancelled yesterday due to the weather. I'll have to come back soon after everything is rescheduled and do all this over again. Hopefully I get out tomorrow so I can return to Chicago. I'm supposed to fly to Ohio on Wed, but that won't happen if I'm still stuck in Seattle.
I'm back after a few years. Life is good!

already reading and studying for classes that don't start for 3 weeks.
roller derby is cool as hell.
surgery on thrusday.
ran 6 miles yesterday.
lots of busy stuff coming up.

I'm old, but I don't feel so bad. decided to train for the marathon and should be hitting a 4-5 mile run first thing tomorrow morning before most of ya'll have gotten up, or in some cases even gone to bed.

went to an interesting event tonight but otherwise took it easy.
was able to solve some very difficult problems that were holding me back with the new server.
