It has been almost 3 months now since I last wrote, and here I come again with a bunch of new stuff.
First my excuse: I just moved to another town, and I'm damn happy with our new flat. It couldn't be any better, really!
Meanwhile, in a small case full of HDDs, a lonely CPU has been working and beeping hard. I am now on Gentoo Linux 3.13.2, just compiling 3.13.3 and a bit sad that some line from the patches hasn't found its way to the geek-sources I'm using yet. It's in the official gentoo-sources eventually though, just have a look at the forums. So if you're on geek, apply the patch manually for now. There are some guidelines on the geek-sources wiki to assist you. :)
Just below my CPU resides the new nVidia card I got by the end of last year, and I must say it's doing a great job. It renders OpenRA successfully - my on-board Radeon card showed ownly some weird spasms and glitches. These issues are quite well-known though. The odd thing about it? Well, Radeon was supposed to be working way better on Linux than nVidia due to nVidia's lack of official support. Anyway, I'm glad I got that card. :D And I even switched to it completely, having 2 screen attached now, one at to the right 1920x1080 and the other one at 1024x768 to the left. With RandR I'm enjoying my desktop again full on i3, yay! <3
I'll write about some more stuff soon, especially concerning my WRT wireless routers and emulators for the good old SNES and N64. :)
