I had din-din with an old friend last night whom I helped counsel through the decline of her marriage. Her divorce just came through not too long ago, and she wanted to thank me for me for "being there". I think she'll be fine.
It reminds me how terribly careful we must be when we make the big decisions in our lives. Making a choice based on improper criteria can lead to devastating results.
Now she's a single mother. I see this often. It is a common theme in my life right now.
Are there no honest, honorable guys left? Is it just a bunch of arseholes? If this is not the case, why do women keep picking the bad ones?
It gives me the willies. It disappoints me.
