Great radio show last night! I started out bummed that the internet feed for the station was down, as we can only reach so far over the radio. However, in the first hour of the show I got a call form a listener who told me that he is a fan of the show and has been listening to the show every week. Not only that, but that his whole family listens. He told me how he wants to teach his kids about all the wild music he never grew out of. He then requested a song from early Agent Orange and a Dickies song. Needless to say, the call put me in a great mood.
A little later I got another call. It was a listener wanting to know the name of a track I just played ("Too Much Junk" by the Alley Cats".
Soon after that I got a request for a G.G. Allin song and another request for The Mummies' "Stronger Than Dirt."
I don't think I've every had so many calls before! It felt really great to know people were listening and enjoying the music, especially as the internet feed was down. All the people who called had to have been local listeners.
Anyway, it was a really fun and rewarding Trash-o-matic Garbage A Go-Go. Did any of you happen to catch it?
.........shame on you!
