Oh. My. God. So much snow/layers of ice in Portland right now. I am staying up in the west hills right now (nearly the highest elevation in Portland!, we have about 2 and a half feet of ice and snow outside EDIT(12/22) 3 and a half feet of ice and snow ) helping my friend denise with the side effects of her chemo...we've been going on 5+ days of cabin fever and are about to eat each other alive. We're just confused about where to start eating on each other. Do you start with the head, feet, arms....? Or where? It's just too cold to think about. We are trying to hold off on it for now.

Also the power went off this morning. We had to READ and TALK TO EACH OTHER. WTF!!!!! And when the power finally came back on, the antiquated alarm system that came with the house(that has never ever gone off EVER) decided to go off. The siren was sooooo fucking loud we ripped them all out of the walls and were like deaf people for a while and had to yell at each other to communicate. Don't worry though. We are fine. Also, we have a generator and five gallons of gasoline now if the power goes out again.

We also tried snowboarding in the yard with mild success. I was too much of a pussy to brave it but she built a ramp and went off it about 3 times before we got too cold.
