THIS SHOULD BE AN OBVIOUS RULE. Unless otherwise stated, this rule should be an implicitly understood social norm.
So here it is:
Not many people want to hear about what their ex is up to a few weeks after they have broken up. This is a rebound period for most people, and most people do things they would not normally do if they were still in the relationship. So... most people won't want to hear that you ran into them and then what words were exchanged. SO PLEASE. If you are one of these people, DO NOT keep me updated on my ex. And don't keep my ex updated on me. It's just bad form. Think of it like ripping a scar off. Yeah, that's a simple analogy. Understand? Anyways. To sum it up, I really don't care, in fact i really care not to hear about it. You're not doing me or her a favor.

That is a great rule. Perhaps a the Constituiton needs to be ammended.
