So, Murphy got his balls wacked off...ok that sounds really bad, he got them surgically removed, u know...neutered! He's doing really well. The last couple of days he's being so sweet, obedient, calm, and lovable. I hope this side of him is the new improved (not peeing on my furniture) Murphy. He has not peed on anything since he's been back in two days, and that has NEVER happened. So, the outlook is good.
Rudy has an ear infection. The other day when I gave him his haircut I found a tick and pulled it off of him. The couple of days Murphy was at the vet's Rudy started acting strange...didn't want to eat, lethargic, depressed, whimpering, and wobbley. I thought it was just cuz Murphy was gone, but I got to thinking about that tick so I looked up the symptoms of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. He had the symptoms except vomiting/diarrhea. I took him into the vet yesterday morning. He didn't have a fever, and wasn't showing illness like you would expect with RMSF. So, she gave him antibiotics, ear wash & topical medicine for it. I think some of it was actually because Murphy was gone. They haven't been apart since I got Rudy. He's doing ok, though you can kinda tell in the pix he looks a little sickly.
I just got a pedicure the other day, and while sliding a shelf across the floor this happened...
My recent tats are healing well, and pretty fast, too. About 12 days, and they were done peeling and getting smoother. I've started putting vitamin E oil on them after I cleaned them. I must say it has really preserved the look/color of them (and, makes them less itchy, too!)
So anyway, here they are...
I'm so tired. It's been a long day (and night!) (I also have a photo set to finish 'shopping when I get up later today...it's about 3/8ths done. I feel like I'll get a lot done on it today cuz I'm so motivated today to try and get it finished so we can submit it already. I've been trying to prioritize and do an equal amount of the things I need to do every day...even if I just have time to get at least just a few pix done. At least I'm making progress. The next set I do, I'm gonna work out a plan on paper so I can get a good estimate of how long it will take me to get it done. I work best that way if I have a goal amount of time to do something....kinda more business-like. That way I can hold myself accountable, like if I tell myself I'll work on them for 2 hours in the afternoon & 2 hours in the evening. And, if I have a goal that I want to get like 6, 8, or 10 pix ready to be submitted. Honestly, I could probably make myself go work on them now, and I know the sun will be coming up soon. That would wake me up a bit, but I should sleep I guess since I can hardly keep my eyes open, and I need my eyes to 'shop photos! Lol I know I'll work better when I'm well-rested. I'm so excited, and I can hardly wait until all the photos are in prime condition & ready to submit. I can't wait to see it go up. I'm really optimistic about it & so is Emi. I want to get to the point where I can get everything in place to shoot my next photo set as well. I love the idea I'm using...still thinking about some of the details, but pretty much have it worked out in my head. This will be my first self-shot set, and I'm really excited because of so much I've learned in recent months in the area of photography AND 'shopping photos to make them look their best....just reading & practicing on old photos & taking practice photos A LOT! I think the time I've invested to get better and better has paid off. Look for this stuff coming...hopefully very sooooooon!
I've been so busy today, and tending to 2 sick puppy dogs pawing at me for attention every time they got a chance. But...I love my babies, and if it makes 'em feel better I'll do the best I can. They are getting spoiled right now...letting them sleep on the bed with me so I can keep an eye on 'em to make sure they are ok. Calypso is kinda getting spoiled, too. Currently three ppl in the house who love him & play with him quite frequently. He "whistles" every time he hears any of the bedroom doors open when we get up, or when we come back in from somewhere, and also when he hears our voices. It's like he's saying "Helloooooooo, I'm over here!!!" So, he gets picked up and played with...prolly at least 3 times a day. My babies are lucky!
Now we go nite-nite!
Have you seen that sign outside the Fat Parrot? It says "Don't be scared, come on in. Some of us even have teeth." Bahaha!
