This is from an entry I wrote in a certain prestigious group's boards.

As a child I had recurring nightmares. Well, to clarify, one nightmare that recurred a great deal. I was Wile E. Coyote, minding my own business in my happy-go-lucky gadgety world of limited dimension and constantly shifting perspective.

Then this roadrunner, rather, The Roadrunner, would show up. Terrified, I would run. But as we all know, The Roadrunner is immeasurably faster than Mr. Coyote. I would try desperately to escape, using terrain, cars, tiny aircraft, anything and everything at my disposal.

It was, of course, all in vain. The Roadrunner would always catch up. But he never caught me. Instead, he would chase me, until I ran down the barrel of a carefully concealed cannon, or into a train tunnel, or off of a cliff.

I'd always wake up screaming. But I've always loved those cartoons. Odd that.
