The concert last night was great! My seats were spectacular. It was hot, 92 degrees and humid, fortunately there was a breeze for awhile. I didn't have an anxiety attack which was a first for me at a concert in a long time, usually I freak about something. There was only 1 particularly drunk asshat and a few times I thought he was going to puke on me. He left, thankfully. Here's the view from my seat, unzoomed pic.
The opening band, Ghost, were actually pretty cool. Sounded good too. I had never heard of them, but that doesn't say much because I don't often listen to newer music or bands.
Maiden played a good mix of old hits and songs from The Book of Souls. Part of their encore was 'Blood Brothers' which is probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite Maiden song. I recorded the whole song, luckily my awful singing can't be heard 😅. I have never seen them live in person, only on TV. They are such high energy and so much fun! I love how into their playing they are. Bruce Dickinson's vocals are brilliant. For having had cancer and surgery on his throat he can still belt out high notes.
I got home late, well, late for me on a work night. By the time I unwound and got sleepy it was 2a. Woke up at 7:20a for work and was in surgery. My ears are ringing terribly, probably worse than the average person since I already have chronic ringing in my ears. I managed to make it through the day fairly cohesively. I started crashing at about 2p when I felt my eyelids getting heavy while typing at a computer.
Hoping to get a nap in, let's face it, probably not gonna happen. I'm thinking Chinese for dinner since I won't be home until later and won't have time to cook.
Here are more pics. I'll upload a vid too.
