So after watching Fight Club at a now older age, I think I understand what it is I get out of this movie. Although a great movie and story, a lot of people really only enjoy it for just the story, which I suppose is fine. My thing is though, If your going to enjoy a story than why not understand the message the story is trying to convey, or in this instance the message the story is trying to get you to formulate, in lack of a better word at the moment. Well maybe it is a good word. After watching, I understood that the message I was able to formulate was that of Not being afraid to live. Now this may be an obvious part of the movie or story, but i think its the way you interpret it that makes the message your own. Your thought??? If any.

I think that it's a great book by Palahniuk and a great film by Fincher, and in both mediums it really showed the reader/audience just how unimportant shit is. How being alive is more than just the act of collecting things to tell the tale. How the only things that really live and mean anything are the ones you can feel, whether it be a crazy girl or an underground fight club, and without a balance between the physical and the mental, you kind of lose your shit. Well, that's what I took from it, anyways. (:
