It is still the night following the day but for sake of convenience let me talk of yesterday as it is past midnight.
I started yesterday being a Germanic merchant in Roman times. An hour later I was peddling my wares in the 14th century. In the evening I was a 13th century monk.
Others pay several thousands to a psychiatrist. I actually made almost 200 bucks of it yesterday. But last week Saturday I found that it pays better just being a 16th century Nobleman!
And now to something completely different (I love Monty Pythons):
An entry in the journal of Kiley reminded me of an experience I had when I was 15 years old. I had missed the bus and was waiting for the next one. It had been snowing a lot. An old woman on the other side of the road got out of her house to clear the snow with a shovel. I went over to help. Well, actually I asked her for the shovel and did the work. Working out that way kept me warm till the bus came and I felt good for doing something right. Before the next bus finally arrived the woman forced some money on me praised me and asked my name.
I went to school and the woman having seen the bus I entered called my school told everybody what a good boy I was. The school secretary was the mother of one of the girls in my class. The word spread! The woman also managed to get the address and phone number of my parents and called there too!
Everybody was laughing at me and I actually felt ashamed
It took sometime for me to understand that I should have felt sad instead because the woman thought what I did so extraordinary that she considered it worthy of so much attention!
