I've really neglected this site and this journal, and now that I'm killing off my LiveJournal sort of slowly, here I am, again, to discuss random things.
I want to talk about a game called Popolocrois. It's a Japanese RPG which was very badly and sloppily translated into English, perhaps so it could hit stores when the PSP first came out, because I really can't think of another excuse for it. The main character, Pietro, looks at a portrait of his mother and says "My mother was a very beautiful women." There are other glitches as well, and on occasion I hit a random button and a Japanese menu appears for no reason.
The battle sequences are boring as hell. They are automatic, and if you change them to "manual," the experience is no less mind-numbing. I suggest having a crossword puzzle nearby, or perhaps a Nintendo DS, to play during the battles. Because every 5 feet your party walks results in a low-level monster encounter which takes hours.
So why am I so addicted to it and feel compelled to solve it? Because I love pixel art.
Curi.
