I've been trying to keep a detailed account of all things, but after yesterday and our trip to Harajuku, I realize I can no longer keep up.
Anyway. Day before last, which was Christmas Eve, involved going to Don Quijote (that's how they spell it) and stocking up on cheap crap like keychains etc. But by extension I bought the cutest keychain of my entire life. We ate ramen next to two adorable boys with that half-bleached hair and "H" pins on their velvet blazers. There was a bit of random shopping before we had to prepare ourselves for the magic that was Amuro Namie. We arrived a half hour late to the concert (cursed traffic) and had nosebleed seats, but some of the seats were even worse than ours, so I didn't mind. She was a tiny sparkling jeweled monkey, and I got to hear her sing "Speed Star." Which was all I wanted for Christmas, really.
After the show we decided to go to Club Harlem, which is in Shibuya. After walking around for another couple of hours with a much better map to no avail, we finally realized that the club has no sign. We went in and broke off a piece to all the kogals up in there by shaking our asses. Many vodka shots later, we had tried to teach everyone the art of the "dance circle" and befriended a duo named Miki and Misa. I got phone numbers. And thought the DJ was excellent.
After some convini sandwiches we passed out and woke up the next day with a shopping desire for Takeshitadori and a hatred of Gwen Stefani. Thanks to another horrible map, we lost our way, but I did buy some things for the family and we did hit the following stores:
-something something Pierrot
-H. Nauto
-Putumayo
-Angelic Pretty
-Milk
-Metamorphose
I broke the bank at Putumayo and was so tempted to at Metamorphose, but didn't. Also at Putumayo, I found a ring which looks super similar to Verbal's
O-Crown-no-Ring.
On the way back, this blonde French family with a Gothic-type daughter ended up going to our hotel, and we thought they were hilarious. We ate convini food for dinner...I was feeling a bit sickly with a stomachache and sore throat, so we took it easy and tried on clothes, then watched many episodes of Densha Otoko. I called my parents and called Kim and told them how much I love Japan. Srsly guys.
Curi.
