Twenty Twelve update - 30/1/2012
People have been asking about the book and wondering what its all about, to avoid any confusion I hope to be able to put more information on here starting today. As already explained, the basic premise of the book is that it is the end of the world and the main character, Will, is sat on Parliament hill in London listening to the last 20 songs hell ever hear before the end. The book itself is based around 12 memorable months from the life of the main character, these take place throughout his lifespan and these are what he thinks about whilst listening to his songs and waiting for the world to end. Music has a central theme to the whole novel as Will is very passionate about music and this creates a link to the overall idea of the book and the 20 final songs.
The original plan for the idea was that people would want to share their own choices of the last 20 songs that theyd ever want to hear. Eventually I would love to setup a website where people could post their playlists and this would create a massive sharing of music between people who are passionate about music. In a throwback to the old days where people created mix tapes and shared them, this would hopefully be on a much bigger and more personal scale. This is why I have been asking for people to start thinking about what 20 songs they would listen to and to post them on the page!
Thank you for reading this and feel free to post any questions you may have?
