Well, my afternoon consisted of going over to Lally house and falling asleep on the couch and then being woken up by noisy Revenge of the Sith battles on Xbox. Needless to say, I became very irritable because you can play the damn game with the volume off since ALL conversations between the characters are subtitled. So, I went and sat in the backyard with Puma, the very fat cat who rubs up against you and then swats you when you pet it for longer than two minutes. Eventually I got tired of the cat's come-hither-now-I-kill-you routine and went and sat in the garage and smoked a cigarette.
After a bit of being irritated at being woken up, I finally got over it. We drove to Millbrae for the beginner's AA meeting, which is my favotrite meeting (next to the Saturday night young people's NA). Twenty minutes after chugging a Lost, I perked right up and was full of energy. Which wasn't good because the speaker was very boring and talked for an hour about his fucking war stories. His share barely included ANY recovery (maybe four sentences relating to how he has stayed clean for 16 years), so I was very anxious and had a lot of trouble sitting still.
After the meeting, Spencer, Linda, Lawrence, Dave, Megan, Matt, Amanda, some guy I don't know, and I all met at B Street Billiards to play a bit of pool. Megan and I had fun doing our 'white girl high fives' in which we kind of annoyingly giggle and kick our leg out behind us. I enjoyed watching Linda and Megan pretend to be hoochie dancers to the 'ill beats' that they were playing. Mucho fun, mi amigos. Mucho fun.
And now, here I am, at home. Having insomnia which I know will last deep into the night.
