(Blue hair is returning shortly)
Hi gorgeous! @Missy, @Rambo & @Lyxzen
I know this is way late, but I wanted to start my blog homeworks with something that'd help everyone interested know me a bit better, now that I finally got my first set out! So here it is, 10 random facts about me:
1. I'm a bookworm. I LOVE books, and I can't fathom my life without Literature. My mom will often tell me how even before I knew how to write or read, I'd pick up random books and make up stories that I'd read out loud, or I'd draw them and tell my mom and siblings the stories in my head . Speak of the devil, I think I have to thank my mother for this. She was a theatre actress and, as such, she knew how important literature was. Even when she had to memorize and study her scripts, she'd read them to me in bed! She always treated me more like a small person and less as a child, so she would also take me to her plays as part of the public. This, combined with the fact that I was a very introverted kid, resulted in me spending most of my time surrounded by books...
2. ...and videogames. Again, I have to thank my awesome family. My brother worked at a videogame's store and both him and my sister loved consoles, so we had at least 3 at home: PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64 and one of those gray, green screened Game Boys. Picture me, the tiny storyteller, suddenly able to have an impact in the story she was being told: Controlling Link's fate around Ganondorf's Castle, picking up golden stars with Mario, training her own pokemon team, flying and fire breathing with Spyro and hiding under pillows while my brother investigated Racoon City, or cheering my sister as she danced as Parappa the Rapper. There are SOOOOO many games I love I'd never finish numbering them off. So let me just finish saying I also met my two best friends thanks to our combined love for video games, role play tabletop and geeky shenanigans. So for this, I need to say thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to videogames. My life would've never been the same without them.
3. I love being told stories as much as I love telling them myself. I've been writing since I was a child, and I've won a couple prizes thanks to this. One day, I wish to write my own novel and, with some luck, work as a video game scriptwriter!
4. My face is way too expressive, probably because I have big, big eyes. This means I can't play poker, lol. If I'm sad, you'll know at a glance, if I'm trying to play Town of Salem and I'm the Werewolf, you'll just have to ask me who am I and watch my face contorting into an awfully hidden smirk, if I'm trying to flirt with you... cue that smirk again, well seasoned in some childish giggles in your face. I'd be a terrible politician. (Yup, not edited, so you can see my scars and stretch marks in that one... meh).
5. I know how to wield a sword... Yup. Kind of, at least. I spent like half a year at a medieval fencing school so, though I am terrible at times, at least I know I have to use the pointy end. At this point, you'll have realized already how much of a nerd I am. Yep, a terrible nerd.
6. I love all kinds of animals, and those I don't love, like bugs, I respect. I can't even kill them, and if some tiny thing ends up crawling on me I'll do my best to return it to safety. Except flies and Annelida. Those can go fuck themselves. But no, although I loathe to think of the current farming industry with their tiny cages and inhuman conditions, I'm not vegan. I also understand we are wired and engineered to eat animals, though I very much respect and admire those who are. I tried a vegetarian diet for like a month and it made me feel weak and depressed. I guess being prone to anemia didn't help and I'll have to take vitamin suplements if I ever try again. What I do whenever I can is buy eco food and ethically raised animal products. If I could hunt my own food, provided I use every single part of the animal I've killed, I would (once I get used to the idea of killing things).
7. I name every animal I encounter directly if it doesn't have a name yet. Up to now, I can think of Robert the Oversized Snail, Lydia the Tiny Gecko, Richard the Dove, Who Flew Straight Through my Open Window and Onto my Bed While I Browsed SG Half Asleep (he came the very same morning my set came up, which I suppose means he loved it), and Garbo the Barbel, whom I met on a Zoology practice at the river. None of them were harmed. Just... named. (We held the barbel in the photo for like... 3 seconds to take the pic. He's still alive, swimming happy in his river next to some hot barbel females, I'm sure).
8. I have very nervous legs, so I'm always frantically shaking them and making everybody around me want to slaughter me. I guess I would be a good drummer...? I also can't sit with both of my legs on the floor, at least one of them must be placed at a higher place, like my desk or the chair under my butt.
9. I have a family of 4 Yoshi Plushies of different colours and a Yoshi Onesie for the winter. I love Yoshi, as the 8-years-old-trapped-in-a-23 y.o.-body-child I am. Special mention to my plushy owl and cat, with which I also sleep every other night.
10. I've no idea what else to say, so here you have a pic of me and my lady friends being gorgeous. Aren't they super pretty?
