CUFFLINKS HAS 2 SETS
i'm a jerk.
ok i don't really think i'm a jerk, but lately i've been neglecting SG like a mothafucka, and it makes me feel really arrogant and shitty. it's like...i come on this site, hardly ever post in my journal, immediately start posting nude photos of myself [with my dear friend, the near-perfect vesuvius], and act like i'm the shit.
i'm sorry. i don't really think i'm the shit. i've just been conditioned to love doing photosets, since both my girlfriend [sweet dixie] and best friend [vesuvius] are photographers. damn good ones, too.
so if you're asking yourself, "who the fuck does this kid think he is?!" well the answer i give you is:
"i'm a fucking model, bitch."
hahahahaha ohhhh man oh man oh man. so enough stupid posturing, what's new in cufflinks' life? well, kiddies, gather round and i'll tell ya!
this weekend, i went back home to the EAST MOTHAFUCKIN BAY to perform with my a cappella group at UC berkeley. it was hella fun, but i think we could have played a better set. we played:
1. kanye west: "jesus walks" [a cover, actually, with the words changed to be "cloud nine rocks." it features yours truly rapping a verse about being the best a cappella group around. ridiculously fun to perform].
2. steppenwolf: "born to be wild." [also fun to play, becuse it's utterly ridiculous. we always get a good laugh with this one.]
3. billy pilgrim: "insomniac" [for the record, billy pilgrim fucking sucks and i hate this song. i guess it's fun enough to sing, but it's a ballad that nobody knows, so i feel like we end up turning more people off than on when we play it.]
4. creedence clearwater revival: "fortunate son" [even if you think you don't know this song, you do. it's been in hella shit, like forrest gump and whatnot...]
it was okay, i guess. and we fucking nailed the performance, i think, but i just think two classic rock songs and an obscure ballad isn't enough to leave a good impression on people.
the fun thing was that we all performed in full GOTH garb. it was hella funny and it reminded me of 8th grade....i opened the show by rapping wearing black slacks, a black dress shirt, a black tie, lots of eyeliner, and a fucking CAPE.
