A big ol' tip of the hat and thank you to any and everybody who even so much as thought a supportive thought towards me.
I'm too new here to have anybody that I'm really close to amongst the ranks of members, so if you did so it had to be purely out of being a wonderful human being.
Yesterday, I saw Eyes Adrift in concert with my ex-girlfriend.
The ex-girlfriend part was not anywhere near as bad as I suspected that it might be. Apparently her and I as friends isn't that much different than her and I as boyfriend/girlfriend except that we don't make out all the time.
Eyes Adrift was sadly somewhat mediocre. From a technical perspective, they were all wonderful musicians, and there were a handful of really good songs. But... they lacked some serious energy on stage.
Aging rock stars and all that I guess.
Or maybe they were just pissed to be play a little bar in the middle of Arkansas.
Who knows?
At any rate, the opening band, La Guardia, kicked a whole lot of ass live.
I bought their CD for a mere $5, which unfortunately was little more than a demo. Very low quality recording.
I hope to see them signed with a label, indy or otherwise, soon, because their live show was amazing both in songwriting and energy.
Now I suspect that I will dive back into reading and trying to escape this semester with decent grades.
Once again, much applause to all the caring human beings of the world and especially SG>
