Yes, I guess you could say that deconstructing and pattern-recognizing are two of my specialties. I've always had a knack for it... that's why I went into Psychology and then Education.
But I wouldn't call myself existentialist <sp>... although I guess I could be seen that way. I work primarily from an Evolutionary Psychology perspective (even while secretly believing zombies and the great abyss can open at any given moment), add in some decidedly Virgo tendencies, and then toss in my own special blend of wisdom.
My friends call me a sage. In fact, I got one of the nicest compliments I've ever gotten in my life last week... at work, I walked by, and one of my co-workers said,
"Do you know what Jen reminds me of?"
Overhearing, I yelled out, "What?!"
She said, "An X-Men. You seem like you should have a supernatural power like being able to walk through walls or read minds. There's just something about you."
Who knew?
