Chiller was INSANE this year. Apparently the Fire Marshalls or whoever were up the Chiller's staff ass and they regulated EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!! There was a line to get up the escalator!!! I've been to Chiller every year for the past 6 or 7 years, and it's NEVER been like that!! They had lines to get into each tent, and the line for the main tent was seriously half a mile long. It was worse than Disney World!!
I talked to one of the security guards, and she flat out told me that "officials" were coming around and collecting people-counts from every entrance and if they messed up, they were going to shut everything down. It was BULLSHIT!!!! I don't know what happened... whether they were afraid of terrorists or another Great White incident. But I'll tell you what- if I had arrived later in the day and had to wait 2 hours in a line to get in, only to be told that the tickets they were selling were for the NEXT day, I would have been pissed!!!
Fortunately, I bought tickets in advance, arrived before it opened, and got myself into both tents without having to wait at all! (long story)
