Hmm. Well I'm reading Fast Food Nation, which is interesting, but not really alot of stuff I didn't know, from both external sources, and intuitively. I still haven't finished Power Politics, but I will. I just misplaced it, and haven't had the energy to look for it. Didn't get a chance to throw any knives today, but when it gets a little cooler this evening I will. Right now outside feels like I'm walking in a sauna.

Saw the movie CRASH at the theatre last night. What an interesting movie. A bit intense. I was kinda riled up by the end of the movie. I was just irritated at everyone. It was weird how no one but me and my friends were laughing at most of the things that were funny and odd in that movie. My one friend thought it was because they wanted to take the movie a bit more seriously, or if they were white, they didn't want to seem like racists. Fucking fuck all that. It didn't even occur to me not to laugh. But since my friends were black, maybe that meant I had some kind of subconscious "pass" to think that psuedo-offensive humor was funny. Its probably much more that I don't care as much anymore about perceptions of racism, but more tangeable manifestations. white guilt behind high walls isn't really helping anyone. You need to develop hardness to deal with racism in the South and on a global perspective. And when tension runs high, it will probably come out. Whatever your bias is.

I should also mention my bias in favor of what is commonly referred to in America as "Indian food". Though it is primarily northern Indian food from places like Calcutta that I seem to eat in most restaurants. This has got to be the best food in the world. I feel like I'm taking vitamins and medicine each time I eat it. It's so good, and full of all kinds of interesting spices, vegatables, and so much goodness. I want Indian food served by those gorgeous indian girls that are always singing bubblegum on the boob tube in every indian restaurant. that should really be my official fantasy.

I wish you had gone to PCP! PixieTits was there, actually, and it was pretty neat, I can see that you know her, in some regard at least. Thanks for your cute comments a while back. I haven't been online much so it took me this long to say something nice in return. I like you and you seem exceptionally smart, especially in comparison to most, you know, online community denizens. Anyway I hope you're doing well. I won't be in St. Pete for the summer after all... going to KW. Someday I hope I'll see you in real life... until then.... keep writing intelligent things in your jornal so I have something to keep me amused... tongue
