Hey, are there any home remedies for dog wart removal. Penny has one on her neck and since we've allready made our thousand+ dollars in 'donations' to the vet his year, I was hoping you knew of a magical at home cure.

Cry cry cry. Yes. Sometimes I wish I still lived in Southern California and other times I just wish I was rich so I could buy fancy things.
In 2003 I caught a glimpse of Shag at Disneyland when he was commissioned to do the Tiki room. I just stood in the back and swooned.

(Dogs are scary sometimes.)

Now THAT is exciting news! One of my girlfriends has been battling polyps since she was 15 and has just recently started showing symptoms of a new one. I get to see the excruciating pain she's been going through so I can imagine what you've been feeling for so long. Brutal! I'm soooo glad you're recovering finally. And, hehe...I still have my Volvo too. My husband hates it because it's been a bit of a money pit so far (kind of like Penny, lol) but I love them both so much. So after a bit of tantrum throwing the sale of the Volvo has been postponed indefinitely. I guess he loves me. smile I will take some pics of the interior and stuff later and post them for you.

I wish I could have taken a picture of this dog yesterday.

I was sitting on the floor at work, holding a big white shepherd looking dog - very tall, so we were right at eye level with eachother. She was a little nervous and looking around at everything... well there were kennels right behind me, and in one of them was a very cranky...

Screw video ipods, somebody needs to invent a gadget that can upload images from your brain to the computer!

Hmm..it sounds like Atlas may be slightly smarter that my dogs. Tommy just realized that the squirrel feeder was there yesterday. It's been on the tree for a week. smile The squirrels here are a little skiddish so our dogs woudn't have a chance to get near them anyway.

Yuck! I guess the blessing with Tommy's megaesphogus is that when he does eat stuff he shouldn't, it just comes right back up. I'm sure that was a very expensive lesson, they probably won't be giving him rope toys anytime soon. I've been avoiding the vet. whatever We're about 3 weeks over due for Penny's ACTH (?) test but she seems to be doing fine. No strange behavior besides the regular neurotic Boston Terrier stuff. I need to call and make an appointment on Monday though. Ironically she's the only one who hasn't peed in the new house yet. Tommy peed on my pillow yesterday! mad Oh, well. I just can't stay mad at his big squishy face.

Thanks for the advice.
I found the Dutch translation of that book you were talking about. Does he say something about a cure ? I have to go back to the vet next week but I dont know if the book will be here by that time. I ll mention it to the vet, ,dont know if shes heard about it.

Oooh, what a lovely car! Enjoy it. smile

I always wanted to take home all the kitties at the Harbor. I loved volunteering there, and I miss them a lot. It's awesome to finish all the cleaning and gross stuff and then get to cuddle everyone and it was so heart-warming when they'd get to know me after a while and run to greet me. I hope they all get awesome new homes.

And thanks about my eyes! Lovin' it!
lola1012:
I'm glad you both liked your treats! Hopefully your stress level will be on the decline soon. The cable company finally fixed the modem at our new house so I just checked email for the first time in almost a week. Your Thor thread was so sad and scary! Make sure you update soon, I really hope he's ok. Happy thoughts and well wishes to you, Nicole, and Thor!!
biggrin ARRR!!!

Ehh, sounds like me.
Great photo, I wish my pit got along so well with my cats. Elsa loves to chase our cats and then they swat her muzzle and soon she running around happy as hell bleeding on everything. Shes a rescue dog and did not grow up with cats. Any thoughts?

Great picture!

Love the "animals" photos in your pics. Looks like you have a great group.

Thor is so cute, how old is he now?

Atlas is cool (I think I suffer from a pro-pitbull bias). I'm glad to see that love and a good home have kept her in the thick of things. Do you mind if I ask what happened to her leg?

lola1012:
OMG the pictures of Atlas sleeping are the best!!! biggrin

puke That really is adorable! I can't ever get my kids to stay still long enough for pictures. They seem the have a sixth sense for detecting cameras while they're asleep. I don't have anything to do tomorrow so I'll get Atlas's collar done. smile

I need some advise on flea control when you have time. I have all the dogs on Advantage and spray inside with Natural Chemistry De Flea. We've used several sprays for the yard, one formula from Petco, another from the hardware store, and next one from the feed store. We have 5 Great Danes, 2 mutts, 10 chickens, and 30 stray cats that share our chain link fence. To top it off, our winter didn't get cold enough to freeze last years fleas. My dogs are covered in them and we're all miserable. If you have any advice I'd LOVE to hear it!!!

Puppies!!! Yay!!!

Thanks so much for your kind words regarding my kitty, Sasha. He actually used to play fetch sometimes. We had a set of Mardi Gras beads that he loved to play with and when we were in bed playing with him, we'd throw the beads across the room and Sasha would jump off the bed, grab the beads, and bring them back to play some more.
lola1012:
Great frisbee shots! We've tried to get our bulldog to play but he lets it hit him in the head. I have that Rebel that you just bought and I love it! You're going to have a great time with it, they're so easy to use. I went to the craft store finally and they didn't have anything bigger that 1" that would work together to make a collar. So if an inch wide is too small for Atlas let me know and I just won't make it. Hope you a have a great weekend! biggrin
