I follow photographer Peter Coulson on YouTube and he started a series about his muses. His first one was about his assistant/model Bec and it was a very good video. Considering how many photographers and models are on SG, I think it would be relatable. So, I wanted to post my comment on the video.
"I completely understand about the importance of a muse. I never had the opportunity to work with models, let alone one of Bec's caliber. Colorado was my muse. I shot whatever tripped my trigger at any given time (street photography, nature, etc). For 13 years, nearly every weekend, I was out and about with a camera bag over my shoulder. Then I moved and my muse was gone. I'd travel once a year and find something interesting to shoot, but it wasn't the same. Since C19, I've hardly touched my gear. It is hard to get inspired with no muse. On the up-side, I'm planning to get out of here by next summer. I'll find a new muse and dust off those skills I spent 20+ years learning."
To all the muses on SG, keep being yourself. :)
