Normally I don't bother with the New Year's Resolutions, however this year I am doing it. I have two, but they are both related. I plan to finish building the Purple Strat and I need to work on my guitar lessons (via Fender Play). There isn't much I can do about the strat until spring. The paint job sucks (the flaws don't show in the photo) and it needs to be sanded and repainted. I did it by hand but a friend can spray it in the spring when it warms up (he paints in the garage). Or, I leave the flaws and use it as is. I suspect that will just annoy me in the end.
In the meantime, I have an old Ibanez Gio strat that I can use for the online lessons. I like the Fender Play system but it will definitely take some time for my middle aged fingers to get the hang of playing. I know it will just take plenty of practice.
