One more road trip in the books. It was good seeing my brother and family in Houston. Holy humidity Batman! We had daily late morning rain which screwed a lot of my plans. I shot like 4 photos, which is unheard of for me. Normally I shoot 5+ rolls of film. I took my Super8 movie camera and I think I got a minute of film. :(
As I got off the highway here, the transmission light came on. I assumed it was low tranny fluid, so I stopped at the oil change place down the street. That wasn't it. The 3rd gear solenoid went bad. I'll have to take it to the shop first thing Monday. I'm sure it won't be cheap. But, the car was shifting gears just fine, so I do have some hope. It's times like this when I miss my old beast (stick shift 92 S10 Blazer 4WD). On the upside, at least it didn't have the problem in the middle of nowhere.

My next road trip won't be as long, but it will be a whole lotta fun. #indy #axethrowing

Ohh hopefully it won't be that expensive 🤞

@rubymoon From what I read online, several people said it could be about $1000 ($5000 if I destroyed the tranny). But, those people were having trouble with the transmission shifting gears. My truck is running smoothly and I won't drive it again until I take it to the shop. That should keep the repair cost down.
