I like to build random electronics projects. A few years ago I built a cool LED clock. I've wanted to build a Nixi tube clock but they are expensive. I've wanted to play piano for years so, two months ago I was watching videos on Youtube learning about good beginner electronic pianos. One of the recommended videos was a guy building a guitar kit. I had no idea it was even a thing. After watching the video, I knew I found my next project.
I sanded the body and got it painted. I placed the pick guard, tremolo and neck on there so I can see how it will look when complete. I went with a deep eggplant purple. I like the shade (I have awesome cotton sheets the same color) but I think it might be a little too dark. Shortly after this pic was taken, I had to sand out some runs in the paint and now I have to add more paint. Hopefully I can get that done over the holiday weekend and get some oil on the body.
Once it's complete, I'll take it to the shop to make sure I set it up correctly. Then, I can learn to play it.
