My apartment's thermostat appears to be broken. The temperature in here has been climbing, regardless of the set temp. We use a form of radiated heat and there is no off switch. We just set the temp to 50 degrees in the summer which effectively turns it off. The temp started climbing sometime overnight Sunday into Monday. Last night when I got home from work (10pm), it was 87 in here. I put the thermostat to 50 which should shut it off. It didn't work. When I woke up this morning, it was 90 in here. As soon as the rental office opens, I'm giving them a call.
Update: it was a stuck valve that allowed hot water to continuously circulate hot water to my apartment.
