Two years ago I bought an unlocked T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 for use with Walmart Family Mobile (they use T-Mobile towers). I switched to AT&T today because I've had nothing but problems for the last 2.5 months with Family Mobile. I went to AT&T specifically because my phone is unlocked and I could use it on their network (it's old but I really like it). We get the number ported and the new Sim card installed. All of a sudden, the phone says it's locked and requires a password. AT&T says they should unlock it because I own the phone. Walmart says it's unlocked and can't explain why it requires an unlocking password so they tell me to call T-Mobile. T-Mobile won't unlock it because I never had an account with them. WTF! One of those jokers locked it, not me. Neither of them would unlock it and there is no company in town that can do it. soooo pissed. Small town America sucks. I can't wait to get to Dallas.
In order to have a working phone, I had to drop $30 on a new smart phone. I hate it but it will work for now. I will try and jailbreak my Samsung Galaxy S4. I can't use it as is, so I may as well give it a try. If it doesn't work, I'll have to get a new Galaxy anyway (probably an S6). I just can't afford one for a couple more months. School tuition is coming up. All I know is that these big companies suck, they don't seem to give a shit about standing by their products, and their phone support personnel tend to be morons.
