I'm sorry for all the negative blogging lately. Life has been a roller coaster lately, but I'm in a better place now.
Sometimes change hurts, but it isn't always a bad thing. Things often have to get worse before they get better, and positive change comes at a cost much of the time.
The fact of the matter is that at this moment in time, the good outweighs the bad. I am employed, I'm performing, traveling, teaching and learning constantly. My three year anniversary is approaching, and I couldn't be more smitten with my partner. I've made a bunch of new friends and have grown so much in the past few months. My career is evolving and I'm the complex but enthralling process of gaining national exposure. I am really proud of the work that I'm doing and thrilled at the opportunity to educate others in the art of burlesque.
I've decided to purge all of the things that have been holding me back. Sometimes you can't save people. Sometimes you have to pass up on opportunities to make way for future ones. Some friendships, relationships, jobs, gigs, adventures and endeavors are just not meant to come to fruition or just aren't supposed to last.
One thing that I do know is that whoever I meet and whatever I do, everything I experience and each person who crosses my path in life teaches me a lesson that I can grow from. For that, no matter what happens, each and everyone one of you will always maintain a place in my heart.
Thank you.
