A quick reaffirmation:
This video circumscribes the reasons I love Germans far better than my feeble and clumsy words ever could. This video is akin to a Koan, in that if you can fully intuit your way beyond the opaque hilarity and cultural fetishism, you may find yourself in grasp of great truths about this nation of misunderstood and angry peoples.*
*This last bit, my Lieblingsbeschreibung of Germans, comes from my high school friend's oral presentation on cultural identity, which began thusly:
"Die Deutschen: missverstanden... und strmisch. Warum sind sie so strmisch? Wei der Himmel! Niemand kann diese fremde Leute verstanden, sich selbst ausgenommen. Und wenn man sie fragt, werden sie aber weitere bse! So ein Geheimnis, so ein Paradoxon..."
***Notice***
Contrary to everything I ever thought I knew about anything, this "German" band is actually Slovenian (Laibach = Ljubljana auf Deutsch = dead giveaway). Instead of revamping this post and fabricating a personal enthrallment with Slovenian culture (wonderful as it is) in Orwellian fashion, I shall concede the mistake, prostrate myself before mighty Wotan, and leave you to hear the new sound of my Bossa Nova...
Love be to you and all you knew
