Forgive my absence, life is busy these days.
As always, I'm watching the leaves fall down. If only that my mind could be as unfettered as the trees...
Ha ha, but enough bullshit. I'm in a period where I'm attempting to upheave everything in my personal life. For me this means:
i. cutting dependencies,
ii. reaffirming relationships (except in case of i.),
iii. revaluating every stupid little thing I do (which is a fantastically consuming chore), and
iv. (what I find hardest) knocking down barriers.
I have a bad tendency towards cutting-and-running in my personal life, I think because I have a much harder time with intangible obstacles and problems than those that challenge me directly (read: emotional vs rational). I'm also entirely too self-conscious, which my roomie has recently deemed to be the Root of All Evil. From what the Innardnet tells me, before that it was the Jews.*
Anywho, Halloween is almost here and I have no costume. The closest I came was agreeing with a friend that he dress up as Groucho Marx while I dress up as John Lennon (we would go to this Red Scare party, you see?). Unfortunately this was nixed on account of the blank stares we got from everyone we shared the idea with. Also, he doesn't really need a costume to look like Marx.
In other exciting news, some people including myself are in the midst of creating an independent study on cyberpunk and dystopian literature(!!1!), meaning what is likely the only English class I will take at this school will involve 11 computer science majors, one physicist-delinquent, my-evil-brain-scientist-self (as in I study evil brains), one invisible professor, only the faintest trace of the humanities, and 16-20 books I should've already read but mostly haven't (plus some kickass movies).
*As an aside, here's my new favorite wikipedia quote: "Icke has strongly denied that he is an anti-Semite, stressing that the Rothschilds are reptiles, not Jews."
Mua ha, life is good.
