Wow what a weekend. After all the stress of finding a place in New Haven I get to relax for a couple of days till I go back to Georgia. So Friday night Susan drove to New Haven for the night. It was so good to see her again and catch up on life. Then the next day we met up with my cousin for brunch and then headed to Chrissie and Luke's for a nite of catching up with good friends. It's a good way to end a week of apt hunting and dealing with parents. So tomorrow I get to explore NYC and Susan is coming over for dinner and meeting my sister.

So in other news my sister told me that my cousin from Arkansas, who is in Sacramento go cut from ear to ear by her estranged boyfriend. 200 stitches later she's hiding in a hotel room while the cops are searching for him. The really fucked up thing is that her 7yrd son was the one who found her and called his grandfather (my uncle) reporting the incident. I still can't believe it. I'm not really close with this cousin but she is still family. I've always held to the belief that you can fuck with me all you want but just leave my family & friends alone. My sister has spoken to her, she's obviously shaken up but ok. Her coworkers and my uncle are taking good care of her. I just can't believe that someone, anyone would do this to the mother of his two children.
