So after spending Wednesday night brain dead on the couch after two horrific tests, I showed up to work last night for a nice busy night in healthcare.

Last Nights patients:
~ A student comes in with an obvious lower leg fracture. Major deformity from the braking of two bones from playing soccer. The guy was in obvious pain when he came in but had the time to have this short conversation with me.

Patient: "Excuse me sir, I have to turn my cellphone off right?"
Me: "Yeah we would appreciate that, the signal interferes with some of our equipment"
Patient: **hands me the phone** "ok but can you do me a favor? Take my phone and take a picture of my leg so I have a picture to send to my friends?

I gladly took his phone and snapped two pics of his leg.

~ Another student, a freshman found drunk in the bathroom of his dorm, brought in soaking wet... and it was not water. Soaked in his own piss we got him on the monitor and placed an IV in his rt hand. Only to find him minutes later standing up wrapped up in all the monitoring wires and pulling the IV canulla out. He did this twice before we finally gave up and just tucked him, put the pulse/oximeter on him and let him sleep. Another thirty minutes later we again found him standing in the corner of the room, out of his gown and pissing on the floor. All this time he was constantly appologizing, stating that he didn't know he was doing something wrong and thought he was in Virginia.
