So everytime I tell someone I'm from Miami I always get this question: "Do you want to ever move back?"
My answer: "HELL fucking no!"
Everytime I come home I am constantly reminded why seeing my family is the only reason why I come to this city. Recent observations/ experiences as to why I would never live in Miami again:
~ So recently the trend in my area is to incorperate into small cities. All my life I have lived in a part of Miami-Dade county that was unincorperated. My parents paid low property taxes and police never stopped you for petty shit, when you drove in the neighborhood. Well recently every small community but mine has decided to draw boundries and incorperate and guess what? My Aunt who lives in "Palmetto Bay" now has seen her property taxes increase and I fucking got a ticket while driving through Palmetto Bay for "failure to stop fully at a red light when turning right"? WTF kind of dumb bullshit is this? Considering the road that I was makind a right turn on dead ends into an abandoned corporate complex that hasn't been used in over 10 years! The cop was just sitting there probably because he knew no one fully stopped at that light when making a right because NO FUCKING TRAFFIC ever comes out of that complex! GRRRR. this shit pisses me off.
~Plus what the hell is with the names of these new cities? Palmetto Bay, The Village of Pincrest, Cutler Ridge? I feel like my hometown is becoming a cheesy TV setting like The OC or Dawson's Creek.

WTF is happening to my home town?! I wonder if those cops understand the effects of 50,000 volts on a child. I don't think I've ever been so outraged and embarrised about my hometown.

ok i'm done ranting. seeing my parents was great. It was a good time with the family. I even went down to the farm for a while and saw my neice and nephew, they've grown so big since I've last seen them ... I miss them
