So today was day two at being a tech at work. After doing my usual secretary stuff I change into scrubs and hit the ER running. I got to stick some patients, draw blood. I think i'm getting better but hey I know I shouldn't speak so soon.
I got to work on my first trauma. A 19 yrd girl hit by a car. Had to cut off the cloths and all that fun stuff. I was fine till I was asked to clean her wounds with a solution. It was hard to hear her moans of pain as I washed her abrasions, asking for her mom and if she looked bad or not. I held it together though. I guess writing about these things here kinda helps.
Other than that, my life is boring. I'm still tired from this past weekend. I need to work out and study but don't have the motivation to do so. So much on my mind I can't put it all into words. Tomorrow they say it may snow so hell I might get a free day from school. I'll probably go to work and stay there the whole day. I love working in the ER. So much crazy shit comes through that place. I hate to see bad things happen to people, but like I said before I'm glad a place like the ER exists to help out with those problems.
